MANUFACTURING DEPARTMENT MANAGER Job ID: CS-BM46643 Position Profile: The Manufacturing Department Manager will be responsible to manage a department comprised of multiple technical and process specialties including assembly and manufacturing process engineering in support of the build of high performance data link products. Competencies: The Manufacturing Department Manager will be accountable for all manufacturing related activities within the department in order to meet performance objectives including but not limited to: Assume planning and implementation responsibility for assigned organizational goals. Responsible for the validity and integrity of the department's specialized processes. Provide guidance, mentoring, workflow management, and performance tracking for the department. Develop organizational talent by providing individual training opportunities that support technical and leadership skills development. Forecast and implement near-term capacity planning. Adapt quickly to changes in demand volume, product mix, and product design.Responsible for the validity and integrity of organizational processes and procedures. Participates in promoting a service oriented culture by modeling appropriate customer service skills and recognizing the successful customer service of team members. Actively lead and participate in cross-organizational commodity teams and foster positive working relationships across organization. Create and champion organization change initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing operations by reducing waste and variation as well as cost and lead time all while maintaining high quality standards. Improve organizational culture and employ best practices. Education/Experience: This position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience and a minimum of 6 years experience in electronics manufacturing plus 1 year in a leadership position in at least one component of the department. Demonstrated ability in business and technical writing, public speaking, and formal presentations. Special Requirements: Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
