Job Details: Supports organization licensure and accreditation oversight by conducting compliance audits (chart review and observations); performing system and patient tracers; assisting with development of education materials and presentations; participating in accreditation/regulatory surveys; follow-up on corrective action plans. Supports Medical Staff and Core Team performance measurement and improvement by conducting chart audits; designing and running reports; aggregating and analyzing data; investigating unexpected outcomes and making recommendations for improvement strategies; maintaining physician/nurse practitioner ongoing practice evaluations and collaborates with medical staff credentialing coordinator in credentialing/recredentialing process assisting Medical Staff with formulation of performance indicators. Supports performance improvement activities by compiling organizational data such as scoreboards and contract compliance; collecting and analyzing data; identifying undesirable outcomes and assisting in formulation of action plans; coordinating projects; benchmarking with peer hospitals; and researching evidence-based best practices.
Graduate of an accredited college/university. Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field required. Master's degree preferred. Current, unrestricted license in a clinical field including, but not limited to, nursing, physical therapy, respiratory therapy. CPHQ preferred.
Four years or more of patient care experience in a hospital and at least one year of experience in hospital quality assessment. Experience with the Meditech electronic record is desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft-based personal computers including spreadsheet, word processing, database and presentation applications. Familiarity with Joint Commission, CARF and CMS standards and survey processes.
